What we do

As a Clinically Integrated Network (CIN), we provide the vehicle and create the infrastructure to aid our providers in transitioning from a fee-for-service care model to one that is value-based. This is accomplished through collaborative efforts between the network’s hospitals and providers to proactively manage their patients’ care by focusing on population health management, preventive care and patient education.

The WFHN goals include improving quality of care and clinical outcomes, improving coordination and continuity of care, improving efficiency of care, eliminating unnecessary and persistent clinical care variation, applying evidence-based medical interventions, and supporting comprehensive clinical care with use of an integrated clinical information technology platform. WFHN also will negotiate new contracts with payers on behalf of its participating physicians based on their ability to achieve established clinical performance standards and benchmarked milestones.

Both Tampa General Hospital and Florida Hospital have selected WFHN as the provider network of choice for their employee health benefit plans, effective January 1, 2016. The goal of this first WFHN contract will be to improve the quality, cost and satisfaction of care for our colleagues in these health plans through a shared savings arrangement with any shared savings inuring to the network and its physician members.
